There's a Science to Essential Oils - Really!

I love to walk into a room and smell wonderful things. Some make me happy, some calm, some remind me of a good memory. Sometimes, it just feels good for no apparent reason.  To my surprise, I found out there is a science to smell. I decided to find out why I love essential oils so much and what makes it so enjoyable.Let me share what I found out with you.

Simply put, when you smell something, your nose cells send these wonderful things called aroma molecules straight to the limbic system in our brain. Now, our limbic system rules our emotions so, TA-DA! we are immediately filled with feelings of joy, calm, happiness and so many other emotions - just from a few drops of essential oil! Amazing, right?

But it gets better! The limbic systems also controls things like blood pressure, heart rate, memory, breathing, hormones and even stress levels. Using essentials oils can allow us to have control over our own health. In fact, essentials oils have been used for over 6,000 years!

Because the sense of smell is 10,000 times more powerful than any other sense we have, we can immediately begin to feel the power of essentials oils. The best part is, we can control it all by our choices in these amazing essential oils. Luckily, ZAQ has many choices of quality oils to choose from.

For example, if you need a little boost, try a few drops of ZAQ Fresh Energy Boost Essential Oil in peppermint in your ZAQ diffuser. Acne giving you trouble?  A few drops of tea tree oil can fix that!  While you are enjoying the tea tree oil, it is also boosting your immune system. Another great use of essentials oil is for we women who suffer from cramps. Using lavender oil helps with that as well as other aches and pains. It can be used for relaxation and a better night's sleep, too. My personal favorite tidbit, the rosemary oil in ZAQ's  Protect Blend helps your brain perform better. Who wouldn't like that? The best part is,  you don't even have to do anything but turn on the diffuser! It just doesn't get any better than that.

So, the next time you hear one of your friends say they are feeling depressed or tired, have aches or pains you can lean in and whisper to them, "There's a oil for that..."

What do you use the oils for?
